New members to serve three-year terms are being sought for the Bank Secrecy Act Advisory Group (BSAAG) of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), under a notice scheduled to be published by the Federal Register tomorrow (Dec. 28). According to the advance notice, FinCEN is seeking nominations from financial institutions, trade groups, and non-federal regulatory and law enforcement agencies; any group making a nomination must designate one individual to represent that group at plenary meetings. The agency is seeking individuals that are “knowledgeable about Bank Secrecy Act requirements and must be able and willing to make the necessary time commitment to participate on committees throughout the year by phone and attend biannual plenary meetings held in Washington D.C. in May and October,” according to the notice from FinCEN.
