Comments on two key issues will be reported next week by federal credit union and banking regulators.
Comments were due Friday to National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) about a proposal on the definition of the term “in danger of insolvency” for emergency merger purposes, and to the Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) on a proposed rule to amend the agencies’ regulations requiring appraisals of real estate for certain transactions.
Also coming up: the Minority Depository Institutions Advisory Committee (MDIAC) of the OCC meets Monday (at 8:30 a.m.) to discuss “current topics of interest to the industry.”
