A schedule of 25 workshops for bank and savings association directors in 2018 covering five areas was released by the regulator of national banks Monday.
The workshops hosted by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) – and which are led by agency examiners – cover five areas: Building Blocks for Directors; Risk Governance; Compliance Risk; Credit Risk; and Operational Risk. Cost for the workshops is $99 each. Each workshop is limited to 35 attendees, who will receive course materials and lunch. The events begin in March and run through November.
According to the OCC, the workshops provide “practical training and guidance to directors of national community banks and federal savings associations to support the safe and sound operation of community-based financial institutions.” Management directors, the agency noted, “may also find the workshops beneficial.”
