Roles and responsibilities of directors for national community banks and federal savings associations will be explored in a June 5-6 workshop in Detroit, sponsored by the regulator of national banks.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will sponsor the two-day event at the DoubleTree Suites Detroit Downtown-Fort Shelby, the agency said. The fee is $99; participants receive course materials, publications and a dictionary of banking terms. The workshop is limited to the first 35 registrants.
According to the OCC, the workshop (“The Building Blocks: Keys to Success for Directors and Senior Management”) is aimed at directors, senior management team members, and other key executives of the financial institutions. In addition to duties and responsibilities, the session discusses major laws and regulations, and increases familiarity with the examination process.
