A ‘town hall’ webinar for bank and nonprofit staff who train or serve entrepreneurs is being held next month by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC). Dubbed “Money Smart for Small Businesses,” the webinar will take place from 2-3 p.m. ET June 7.
The program offers a practical introduction to topics related to starting and managing a business. Developed jointly by the FDIC and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the instructor-led curriculum consists of 13 modules available in English and Spanish that can be downloaded by anyone.
There are no requirements to use Money Smart for Small Business (MSSB), but organizations are being encouraged to join the FDIC Money Smart Alliance. The June 7 webinar will include presentations by two MSSB Alliance bank members that are using the curriculum in different ways.
