State requests for more time to establish an appraisal management company (AMC) program are slated for action during a June 8 open, special meeting of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC).
The meeting, held by teleconference, is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. To listen in, send an email to meetings@asc.gov by noon June 7 (Thursday); dial-in information will be provided.
The ASC is responsible for oversight of states’ real estate appraiser regulatory programs. The subcommittee is creating a national registry of AMCs and plans to open it to the states July 16 so they can begin inputting information on AMCs in their states.
