Software for reporting 2018 data related to Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance has been updated and is now ready for release, a federal regulatory umbrella group said Friday.
In a release, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC, which includes as members all of the federal financial institution regulatory agencies) said its 2018 CRA Data Entry Software Release 2 is designed to assist respondents (banks and other covered financial institutions) in automating the filing of their CRA data.
The CRA data for “compliance year” (CY) 2018 is due March 1, FFIEC stated. Each software version is year-specific (i.e. 2017 reporting requires 2017 CRA DES and not 2018 CRA DES), the agency said. The software is free, according to FFIEC, and includes editing features to help verify and analyze the accuracy of the data.
The data file created using the software can be submitted by one of the available submission methods listed in the software, the agency pointed out.
