Workshops on compliance and operational risks, targeted to directors of national community banks and federal savings associations, are slated May 7 and 8 in Manhattan, Kan., by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
The Compliance Risk workshop, slated May 7, addresses critical elements of an effective compliance risk management program, major compliance risks, and critical regulations, the OCC said in an announcement Wednesday. Discussion topics include the Bank Secrecy Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Fair Lending, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Community Reinvestment Act, and other compliance hot topics.
The Operational Risk workshop, set for May 8, focuses on the key components of operational risk – people, processes, and systems. It also covers governance, third-party risk, vendor management, internal fraud, and cybersecurity.
Both workshops will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan. The workshop fee is $99; each workshop is limited to the first 35 registrants. Visit www.occ.gov/occworkshops to register.
