A data and research page giving access to current and past research using Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data and more has been redesigned by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) said in a recent blog post.
The HMDA data and research page also provides access to loan-level datasets and information about compliance and other HMDA resources.
The umbrella Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) will publish a query tool for the 2018 data in the coming months, the CFPB notes, which will be available at ffiec.cfpb.gov. The bureau says loan-level HMDA data and aggregate and disclosure reports are available at ffiec.cfpb.gov for data collected in or after 2017.
After the new query tool becomes available, the CFPB says it will retire its current HMDA Explorer tool and the Public Data Platform API that powers it. The bureau notes that since the 2018 HMDA data includes a number of new data points, it’s not compatible with the multi-year functionality provided by the Public Data Platform.
