The panel that advises the federal bank deposit insurer on matters related to community banking is slated to hold an open meeting Oct. 10 at agency headquarters in Washington.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) Advisory Committee on Community Banking, currently with 18 members, will be meeting to “provide advice and recommendations on a broad range of policy issues that have particular impact on small community banks throughout the United States and the local communities they serve, with a focus on rural areas,” according to a notice for the Federal Register. The meeting is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.
