Data entry software (DES) for 2019 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) data – due March 2, 2020 – is now available, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) said Thursday.
The software, developed by the Federal Reserve for the FFIEC, is to assist respondents in automating the filing of CRA data, the Exam Council said.
The software, which is available at no charge, includes editing features to help verify and analyze the accuracy of the data, the FFIEC said. The data file created using the software can be submitted by one of the available submission methods listed in the software, according to the council.
According to the FFIEC, the software is specific to only one collection year. In addition, the agency said, the software root directory includes the calendar year (CCYY) in that part of the path where the CRA encrypted file is saved. “Thus, for the 2019 CRA Data Entry Software, the DES root directory in the path will be CRA Data Entry Software 2019.”
