A series of five workshops throughout six regions is planned this year for board directors and bank management of national community banks and federal savings associations, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said Thursday.
The OCC said these examiner-led workshops provide practical training and guidance to directors of national community banks and federal savings associations “to support the safe and sound operation of community-based financial institutions.”
The following workshops are offered at a cost of $99 each:
- Building Blocks: Keys to Success for Directors and Senior Management
- Risk Governance: Improving Director Effectiveness
- Compliance Risk: What Directors Need to Know
- Credit Risk: Directors Can Make a Difference
- Operational Risk: Navigating Rapid Changes
The OCC offers the workshops nationwide to directors of national community banks and federal savings associations. Senior management and other key executives of national community banks and federal savings associations supervised by the OCC are also eligible to attend the Building Blocks workshop, the agency said.
The workshops, which begin in March, are limited to 35 participants each.
