The 2020 stress-test scenarios for institutions supervised by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) were released late Thursday, with self-test results due to the OCC by April 5.
These institutions are also required to publish results of company-run stress tests between June 15 and July 15, but the specific date of publication will depend for some on when the Federal Reserve Board releases results of its supervisory stress tests.
The OCC’s website notes that if the covered institution is a consolidated subsidiary of a bank holding company (BHC) or savings and loan holding company (SLHC) subject to stress tests conducted by the Fed Board, it may not publish the required summary of its annual stress test earlier than the Fed publishes supervisory stress test results of the institution’s parent holding company. The Fed, which released stress-test scenarios Thursday hours in advance of the OCC release, said it plans to release supervisory test results “by June 30.”
