The chairman of the nation’s central bank will discuss the state of the economy and impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic during an online-only discussion Thursday at the Brookings Institution.
Federal Reserve Board Chair Jerome H. (“Jay”) Powell is expected to discuss the Fed’s ongoing response to the crisis during a webcast set to run from 10 a.m. to 10:35 a.m. ET. The Fed is billing Powell’s scheduled address as an “Economic Update.”
