BSA webinar slated June 17 for credit unions, will cover training matters, case studies

“Best practices” and pitfall avoidance for credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance programs will be discussed during a slated June 17 and hosted by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the agency announced Wednesday.

The webinar, “The Bank Secrecy Act: Review and Reminders,” is set to begin at 3 p.m. and will run for 90 minutes, the agency said.

Topics will include timely Section 314(a) records searches; BSA training for appropriate staff; and real-world case studies of BSA compliance failures.

The panel of speakers includes Andrew Bludorn, BSA officer with the NCUA’s Office of Examination and Insurance; Damon Frank, trial attorney with the NCUA’s Office of General Counsel; and Cathryn Martin, assistant vice president and BSA compliance officer with Tower Federal Credit Union.
