Third-quarter financial performance results for banks will be released Dec. 1, the federal insurer of bank deposits said Monday, during a live briefing streamed via the Internet.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) said the briefing will begin at 1 p.m. ET; it is expected to last about one hour.
The financial performance results are based on call reports submitted by banks for their operations ending Sept. 30. The FDIC attempts to release the results of those reports 55 days after the end of the reporting period.
The FDIC reports the results in its “Quarterly Banking Profile,” which it says provides the earliest comprehensive summary of financial results for all FDIC-insured institutions. This profile – referred to as a “report card on industry status and performance” – includes written analyses, graphs and statistical tables.
