An overview of the new Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) features included in the massive coronavirus crisis relief legislation passed by Congress late last month will be provided in a webinar on Monday (Jan. 11) sponsored by federal financial institution regulators, the agencies said Friday.
In a release, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) said the webinar – presented by Small Business Administration (SBA) and Treasury Department officials – gets underway Jan,. 11 at 2 p.m. ET. The federal banking agencies and NCUA are co-sponsoring the event, the release noted.
The presentation is scheduled to review the PPP features associated with the associated with the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Non-Profits, and Venues Act, signed into law by President Donald Trump Dec. 27. According to NCUA, the SBA and Treasury speakers will:
- Provide a timeline for the rollout of the new PPP programs;
- Offer an overview of the PPP loan programs including first and second draw loans; and
- Discuss new forms and guidance.
A brief Q&A session is scheduled to follow the presentation.
