The nation’s federal bank chartering agency has scheduled a virtual Innovation Office Hours for March 17-18 “to promote responsible innovation in the federal banking system,” according to an announcement Wednesday, and those interested in getting a meeting have until Feb. 22 to request one.
The Office Hours, hosted by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), constitute one-on-one meetings with representatives of the agency’s Office of Innovation. The meetings are to discuss financial technology (fintech), new products or services, partnering with a bank or fintech company, or other matters related to responsible innovation in financial services. Each meeting will last no longer than one hour, the OCC said.
Requests for a meeting during this round are due Feb. 22; those interested should provide information on the topics they want to discuss; the OCC said that meeting times, etc., will be determined after the agency receives and accepts the request.
