A former credit union supervisory committee member who pleaded guilty to a charge of embezzlement has been barred from future service in any federally insured financial institution, according to the single February enforcement order announced Friday by the federal credit union regulatory agency.
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) order shows that Joseph Guagliardo, formerly a supervisory committee member for Municipal Credit Union, New York, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on the charge of embezzlement from a credit union (18 U.S.C. § 657) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in connection with his role at the credit union.
