Mid-year banking performance statistics will be released Wednesday, the federal insurer of bank deposits said Tuesday.
According to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), agency Board Chairman Jelena McWilliams will lead a virtual press briefing on the mid-year statistics (more specifically, bank performance statistics for the end of the second quarter of 2021) at 10:30 a.m. ET. The event will be webcast live.
The statistics are taken from quarterly call reports collected by the agency, which must be reported with 30 days of the end of the quarter. According to the FDIC, it publishes results approximately 55 days after the end of each quarter (in this case, June 30).
