Bank data for 2020 (calendar year) is now available and includes aggregate financial and structure variables on federally insured banks dating from 1934, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) said Wednesday.
The agency said the data can be found in the “BankFind Suite” on the agency’s website, under the “Find Annual Historical Bank Data” section. The data are also available through FDIC’s application programming interface (API) by using the “Summary” endpoint, the agency said.
According to the FDIC, the data may be used to identify and analyze long-term trends and to develop benchmarks to evaluate the current conditions of the banking and thrift industries. This annual data is available as of Dec. 31 for the years 1934 and now to 2020.
