A draft strategic plan for 2022-26 was released for public comment, by Oct. 1, by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) Wednesday.
The 34-page plan is required to be updated under federal law (the Government Performance and Results Act) periodically. The latest version outlines: the agency’s mission, vision and values; perspective and outlook on the agency and the banking industry it insures; and major programs at the FDIC (which it delineates as insurance, supervision and receivership management).
Appendices of the plan look at the agency’s strategic planning process, enterprise risk management and data governance, and evaluations. The goals of agency’s office of inspector general (OIG) are also included in the draft plan.
