Promoting responsible innovation in the federal banking system is the objective of virtual office hours scheduled by the national bank regulator for June 14-15, the agency said Wednesday.
And, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), it won’t be the last session on banking responsible innovation: another virtual session is planned for the third quarter, too.
The OCC said those interested in participating should submit by May 20 a request for the virtual office hours. They are also asked to provide information on the topics they are interested in discussing with the agency’s Office of Innovation. The OCC said it will determine specific meeting times and arrangements after it receives and accepts the request.
These office hours are one-on-one meetings with representatives from the OCC Office of Innovation to discuss financial technology (fintech), new products or services, partnering with a bank or fintech company, or other matters related to responsible innovation in financial services. Each session will last no longer than an hour, the agency said.
