Registration for its 2023 series of workshops, including one new half-day workshop on capital markets, for bank board directors and senior management is open now, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said Monday.
The OCC’s day-long workshops (or three hours, for a virtual version) are led by examiners and cost $99 each to attend. They are:
- Building Blocks: Developing Strong Management
- Risk Governance: Improving Effectiveness
- Compliance Risk: Understanding the Rules
- Credit Risk: Recognizing and Responding to Risk
- Operational Risk: Navigating Rapid Changes
The new, half-day workshop, Capital Markets: Keeping Current, costs $49 to attend, the agency said. “This fee will be waived for attendees of the previous day’s workshop,” the OCC said. “This new workshop is designed to explain balance sheet management risks, as well as the most current hot topics and risk themes for bankers and regulators in the capital markets area.” Among the topics, the online description shows, is the OCC’s approach to assessing the Sensitivity to Market Risk (S) and Liquidity (L) component ratings as well as the liquidity risk and interest rate risk assessments.
Workshops are limited to 35 participants. Attendees will receive course materials, supervisory publications, and lunch, the agency said.
