Separate workshops on compliance and credit risk are set for Oct. 17-18 in Syracuse, N.Y., the national bank regulator said Tuesday.
According to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) the workshops are focused on directors, senior management and other executives at national banks and federal savings associations.
On Oct. 17, the agency hosts “Compliance Risk: Understanding the Rules,” which looks at elements of an effective compliance risk management program, the OCC said. It added dthat participants will review major compliance risks and critical regulations, identify compliance red flags, and learn about common OCC examination findings related to compliance risk.
The Oct. 18 workshop, “Credit Risk: Recognizing and Responding to Risk “ will cover the roles of the board and management, credit risk within the loan portfolio, and how to stay informed of changes in credit risk.
Cost is $99 for each workshop. Participants receive course materials, supervisory materials, and lunch.
