The Advisory Committee on Community Banking, which advises the federal bank deposit insurer on matters of concern to community banks, is scheduled to meet Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. Eastern, one day after the agency’s minority depository institutions (MDI) panel is set to meet.
The meeting will be open to the public and viewable via webcast, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) said.
The FDIC said advisory committee members will discuss and receive updates on a range of issues, including examination policies and procedures, credit and lending practices, deposit insurance assessments, insurance coverage, and regulatory compliance. An update from the MDI Subcommittee is also slated.
FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg will provide opening and closing remarks.
