Simplification of rules for federal savings insurance at credit unions is one of three topics on the federal credit union regulator’s board agenda for the meeting of Oct. 19, the agency said Thursday.
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) said its three-member board will consider the notice of proposed rulemaking on part 745 of its regulations, dealing with simplification of insurance rules.
The agency will also consider proposed rules on fair hiring in banking (covering parts 701, 741, 746, 748, and 752 of its rules).
A report on the agency’s efforts in cybersecurity will also be offered at the meeting.
The NCUA Board meets at 10 a.m. Oct. 19 at agency headquarters in Alexandria, Va.
