An in-person Consumer Research Symposium sponsored by the federal bank deposit insurance agency is set for March 15 in Arlington, Va., the agency said Tuesday.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) said its 12th annual symposium will be held at its L. William Seidman Center at 3501 Fairfax Drive in Arlington.
According to the agency, Professor Annamaria Lusardi of Stanford University will deliver the distinguished guest lecture at the event, focusing on the importance of financial literacy. Lusardi is a senior fellow at Stanford and director of the Financial Freedom Initiative at the school.
FDIC Board Chairman Martin Gruenberg is scheduled to deliver opening remarks.
Registration closes Feb. 23.
