The federal bank deposit insurer’s Advisory Committee on Community Banking is set to meet publicly May 2 on issues of interest to community banks, according to a notice in Tuesday’s Federal Register.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) notice says the meeting will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Eastern and will be viewable in person and via webcast.
“The Advisory Committee will provide advice and recommendations on a broad range of policy issues that have particular impact on small community banks throughout the United States and the local communities they serve,” according to the notice.
The agency said written comments can be sent to the committee before or after the meeting.
