Briefings about certain bank merger, deposit insurance applications up for FDIC Board consideration

The subject of briefings on certain merger and deposit insurance applications outstanding for more than 270 days is on the agenda for discussion during a meeting Thursday of the board of the federal bank deposit insurance agency, it said late Tuesday.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) Board said its meeting would begin at 10 a.m. ET and is “open to public observation” only by webcast.

Also up for discussion during the meeting of the five-member board will be a final rule on delegations of authority of the board.

Meanwhile, items on the summary agenda (which includes those items that the board has not listed for discussion, but can be resolved with a single vote unless a board member requests the item be moved to the discussion agenda) include:

  • Proposed Amendments to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance rule.
  • Final Rule: Quality control standards for automated valuation models.
  • Review of FDIC Regulations in accordance with the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA).
  • Disposition of minutes of a board of directors’ meeting previously distributed.
