The group that advises the national bank regulator on mutual savings association issues is slated to meet publicly Oct. 22, the agency said Monday.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said the Mutual Savings Associaton Advisory Committee (MSAAC) meeting, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Eastern, will be hosted both in person and virtually.
The MSAAC advises the OCC on regulatory or other changes the OCC may make to ensure the health and viability of mutual savings associations, according to the agency. It said the meeting will include a discussion of current topics of interest to the industry and a roundtable discussion with MSAAC members and OCC staff.
The OCC said members of the public may submit written statements to the MSAAC via e-mail to MSAAC@occ.treas.gov. The agency must receive written statements no later than 5 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, Oct. 17, it said.
