A move across town is in the works for the southern region office of the federal credit union regulator, the agency said Wednesday.
The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) said its regional office, along with the agency’s Asset Management & Assistance Center (AMAC, which manages and liquidates assets received under credit union failures, among other things) is moving from the current Spicewood Springs Rd. address in Austin, Texas, to a new facility located on Domain Drive, also in Austin. The move is effective Wednesday, the NCUA said.
The revised contact information for both offices is:

Two years ago, the NCUA Board moved the management and oversight of AMAC from underneath the Southern Region (and its director) to an independent office led by the AMAC president, who reports to the NCUA Office of Executive Director. The AMAC president was created to “serve as the key advisor to the NCUA Board on matters like implementing liquidation payouts, managing assets acquired from liquidations, and managing recoveries for the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund,” the agency said in 2022.
