FDIC Board to take up 2025 budget, AML policy, bank capital distributions next week

The agency’s 2025 operating budget and two policy “discussion drafts” will be taken up by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) Board during its open meeting next Thursday, according to a notice announced late Tuesday.

The “discussion drafts” address FDIC policy regarding the Annunzio-Wylie Anti-Money Laundering Act; and policy on bank capital distributions in unusual and exigent circumstances.

The Dec. 17 meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m. Eastern and will be viewable by the public via webcast only.
