Julie Cayse is the new Western Region director for the federal credit union regulator, the agency said Monday; her appointment was effective Sunday, Jan. 12.
Cayse most recently served as associate regional director of operations for the Western Region, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) said. She has worked at the agency since 2010 when she joined as an examiner, according to the agency. Since then, she has served as a supervision analyst, supervisory examiner, director of supervision, and director of risk management in the agency’s Office of Examination and Insurance.
Before joining the agency, she worked in financial services.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The NCUA has three regions: Western, Southern and Eastern. As the Western Region director, Cayse will oversee the examination and supervision of all federally insured credit unions in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
