“Appropriate” names and addresses for notices required by three key statutes dealing with redlining, equal credit and fair housing are outlined in a bulletin issued Tuesday by the national bank regulator, with compliance, if necessary, within 90 days.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) said the notices are required by the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and for posters required by the Fair Housing Act. The agency said banks should make the appropriate changes to their notices and posters, if necessary, within 90 days of today.
This latest bulletin rescinds one issued four years ago (OCC Bulletin 2021-35), OCC said.
